About the Event

Come along to our Willow Dragonflies weaving workshop for a special experience you will never forget.

Spend a morning in our huge magical classroom learning how to weave a beautiful willow dragonfly from scratch.

Jenny will guide you from start to finish.

Learn about willow as a material, then learn several different weaving techniques as you move through the various stages of creating your very own unique willow dragonfly.

Finish the session with a very special and beautiful dragonfly to take home and impress your family and friends.

All morning you can chat and laugh along, with the small group of other people sharing the journey with you.

This workshop is for everyone. Suitable for adults and older children.

It is so much more enjoyable, relaxing and rewarding to make your own willow dragonfly than buying one already made, or a modern plastic alternative.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ

You are welcome to bring snacks with you.

We ask that you bring only plant-based foods and drinks for the day, to respect our values as a vegan farm.

Hot drinks and water will be available throughout the session and are included in the price.

Please avoid bringing single use plastic bottles, as we have signed the Dopper pledge to not have these on site.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the farm environment.

The weather on the day may be variable, so it is advisable to wear clothing layers, so that you can add or remove to manage your body temperature. (there is no heating)

Willow is wet while weaving and can be mucky, so it is best not to wear clothes you do not wish to mark. A small towel may be useful to dry your hands.

Weaving is quite a physical activity so get lots of rest the night before your workshop Zzzz.
