Covid-19 and Coming out of Lockdown

Coming out of Lockdown

Back at the start of 2020 we were getting ready for a big launch of the School of Sustainable Living & Wellbeing (SOSLAW) at the start of April, and then …. Covid-19 …

So no launch after all, just closed.

We had a tough year with all our usual markets cancelled and most of our trade customers closed too, so not much income and we didn’t qualify for any government support. Like other similar small businesses we still had all the bills to pay.

We put our Gazebo up in the shed as a temporary shop, and we managed a couple of Foraging Walks and Mindful Sessions, as well as a Pumpkin Trail for Hallowe’en and a Christmas Trail, all squeezed in between lockdowns, but it certainly wasn’t the year we had envisaged.

For the Pumpkin Trail I had originally hoped to get families and kids to come and paint the pumpkins to hide around the farm, but sadly 🙃 that wasn’t possible, so I had to paint them myself - such hardship 🤣

Now, coming out of lockdown in 2021 we are really chuffed to be able to hold some events at the farm. Starting outdoors only in April 🌱 we had Foraging Walks, Outdoor Garden Willow Weaving, and Mindful Mornings.

Then from mid May, indoor classes have been possible. So far we’ve had a couple of Willow Basket Weaving classes and our first two Drum Circles, which were all amazing.

It’s lovely to have people back on the farm for these. 😀💚

Some of our activities will be held monthly and there will be a couple of options on the booking pages for discounted tickets for those if you plan to attend regularly too.

These include Foraging Walks, Drum Circles and Mindful Mornings.

These are all bookable right here from the website in the events section.

We hope to see you soon
